This photo of one of the halls at the University of Delaware (Gore Hall) is definitely my most successful image because it was the one that I felt aligned most with Zachmann's photo of the rebuilding of Notre Dame. I also think that it came out nice, as I was able to capture all of the beautiful features of the design of the building. It was also successful because it did align with Zachmann's photo, however, it also was completely opposite and I found appreciation in that. The building in Zachmann's photo was being reconstructed, while the building that I took a photo of was already constructed and was clean and aesthetically evaluative. Zachmann's photo was also aesthetically evaluative, but in a different, more rugged way, still capturing the beauty and architecture of Notre Dame's design. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding photos that I could take that matched Zachmann's style enough to capture. It was difficult trying to think of and imagine a building that matched Notre Dame on campus. However, it forced me to think outside of the box and find the beauty in buildings on campus, which was one of my course goals! To create stronger images in the future, I will definitely work on my confidence and take more time to get better photos. I walked into Gore Hall with people studying in the area where I took the photo and I got a bit nervous taking a photo in front of everyone so I was quick with the capturing of the photo. Therefore, taking my time and not worrying too much about people looking at me take a photo would definitely produce a better outcome.

My comment on classmate's post:
"Your photo in the mirror is so pretty and is perfect for the holiday season. One thing that strikes me about your image is the twinkling lights from the tree. It shows how you used and thought about lighting and what that lighting would do for the success of your photo. The use of black and white in your photo pushes the viewer to imagine all of the colors that are present and creates a feeling of wonder, which again, is perfect for the holiday season. This was an interesting way of emulating your chosen photograher and it came out great!"

You did a great job capturing the essence of Zachmann’s style while also adding your own twist! I love how you recognized the contrast between the reconstruction in Zachmann’s photo and the already-constructed beauty of Gore Hall. Your approach shows a lot of creativity, and it's clear you found a unique way to appreciate the architecture on campus. Great job!
